Find a place to progress. All Pets Veterinary Hospital has an opening for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their experienced nursing team from May 2025.

The Role

  • Full-time, position based in All Pets Drogheda

  • Specific Purpose Contract to cover Maternity Leave (minimum 12 months).

  • 37.5 hours (5 days) per week

  • OOH Weekend rota is 1 in 6 with no overnight work

  • New graduate support and training available, including a clinical coach

  • Professional memberships paid

  • Salary €30,000-€35,000 commensurate with experience

This is a 100% SA clinically focused role where you will be responsible for nursing consults, surgical and theatre nursing, inpatient care, pharmacy management, client care and advice, laboratory work and more. In short, you will be able to utilise the skills that you have been trained to perform to help shape the future of veterinary care.

Applicant Requirements

All eligible applicants must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. Our ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 years experience in a Small Animal practice setting however new graduates will be considered for the role as well. Our ideal candidate must also:

  • Demonstrate exceptional organization and communication skills

  • Have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and demanding environment

  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, progressive and competent team based in Drogheda, Co Louth. We are a 100% Small Animal Hospital, passionate about providing a quality service to both our clients and patients. Our teams well-being is always a priority, and we have several wellness advocates who focus strongly on this area of our daily work. We have regular clinical case discussions amongst our professionals and department organizational meetings and debriefs to ensure we foster a well-rounded team and work environment. Our team is made up of 6 Veterinarians, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 3 customer service staff, an accounts administrator, a practice manager, and 2 animal care assistants. Our Vets hold certificates in both SA Medicine and Surgery giving the successful applicant the unique opportunity to work with Vets with an interest in advanced surgery, including orthopaedics, ultrasonography and echocardiography. Many of our nursing team hold certificates in Feline Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Emergency & Critical Care.

Personal and professional development is highly encouraged with fully funded postgraduate certificates included as standard to every employee. Our fully renovated, high-spec hospital is situated in Drogheda town, right next to the busy Bus Éireann depot and nearby train station - both give quick and easy access to Belfast, Dublin and Wexford. We have great facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood analyzers, separate dog /cat waiting areas and consultation rooms plus a private family room. We are an ISFM Gold Certified cat friendly clinic. We offer referral services in both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, as well of ultrasonography.
