Gaelic Football Head Coach

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience with Gaelic Football as a player or a coach
  • Experience of working with members of the general public
  • Specific interest in working with and developing young children
  • Previous coaching experience an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent timekeeping and punctuality skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Full driving licence required
  • Irish PPS number required

1. Attend pre session planning activity - 30 minutes each Friday

2. Manage Transportation, storage, and maintenance of all equipment necessary to carry out the coaching session

3. Assistance with the promotion, marketing and sales of the coaching sessions when requested by your employer

4. Ensure prompt arrival at venue at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time to ensure the necessary class preparation is completed.

5. Perform High standard coaching sessions in accordance with the activities set out in the ÓGGAPlay session plans and covered in the weekly pre session planning.

6. Lead the classes and provide supervision to the assistant coach in the session or where appropriate and as requested by your employer

7. Ensure that the venue is left tidy and as you found it, ensuring that any doors and windows have been closed.

8. Provide any key messages to customers at the classes as required by your employer.

9. Adhere carefully to the health and safety guidelines set out for each venue, reporting any concerns to your employer in a timely manner.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: €17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 8 per week
