Job Title: People Business Partner - Retail

Reports to: Head of People: Retail ROI/NI & GB

Location: BoyleSports, Dundalk (Hybrid)

Your Role:

As our People Business Partner for our retail estate, your key responsibilities include working with the business and wider People team to successfully deliver the People aspects of business strategies, by growing the effectiveness of teams and diagnosing, designing, and delivering the People interventions required to create positive colleague outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as a member of the People department to enhance the overall effectiveness of business teams, maintaining a flexible approach to tasks.
  • Analyse, execute, and assess people interventions to ensure their appropriateness, successful implementation, and enduring impact, collaborating closely with various specialists within the People team as necessary.
  • Strategically diagnose and assess the implementation of impactful people interventions, ensuring their alignment with organisational objectives. Forge close partnerships with various specialists within the People team to ensure comprehensive execution.
  • Foster close and harmonious working relationships with operational counterparts and the wider People team. Ensure that interventions align not only with the specific context but also harmonize with the overarching People and BoyleSports strategy.
  • Provide support, facilitation, and guidance to teams and individuals, fostering improved team dynamics, performance, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Contribute to the evolution of skills, behaviours, and work methodologies essential for the realization of our business and people strategies.
  • Assist and guide the business through processes of organisational design and development, safeguarding the well-being of colleagues and leaders throughout.
  • Infuse the Boylesports vision and values into the daily mindset and operations of teams.
  • Aid aligned business areas in shaping, executing, and embedding people-oriented transformation initiatives within broader change projects. Serve as the moral compass for human-centered change and advocate for innovative approaches.
  • Navigate and guide the business through intricate processes of organisational design and development, safeguarding the holistic experience of colleagues and leaders.
  • Establish connections and provide assistance to leaders and colleagues in accessing and leveraging the complete spectrum of people services spanning the colleague life cycle.
  • Fulfil the necessity to travel to field locations across Ireland, occasionally venturing to the UK.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years People team experience in the retail or gambling industry is preferable.
  • Member of CIPD or equivalent professional or academic qualification in HR, psychology or similar field of study.
  • Strong generalist People management and leadership skills and project management experience
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to intermediate level.
  • Up-to-date Employment Law for ROI, NI & GB.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Confidence in and the ability to make your own decisions is a requirement for this role.
  • Access to a car and full clean drivers licence is mandatory, and this role requires significant travel in Ireland.
