Part Time Weekend Nights Dispatch Operator

Satellite Taxis have a part time position available for a Weekend Nights Dispatch Operator at our call centre on Pouladuff Road, Cork.

About the Role:

Satellite Taxis is looking for a dedicated and efficient Dispatch Operator to join our dynamic call centre team. As a Dispatch Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between customers and drivers, making sure bookings are processed quickly and accurately. With a high level of automation in our system, you will be responsible for overseeing booking allocation and supporting the operation to maintain a seamless service.

Key Responsibilities: Booking Management:

• Handle customer booking requests via phone and email
• Ensure accurate entry and processing of booking details into our system
• Monitor automated systems to allocate bookings to drivers efficiently
• Confirm and update booking status to customers when necessary
• Resolve booking discrepancies or issues promptly

Driver Coordination:

• Ensure timely dispatch of drivers for each booking
• Monitor driver availability and status to ensure smooth service flow
• Communicate with drivers for route adjustments or urgent updates
• Assist with any driver-related queries or issues

Customer Service:

• Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing any concerns or special requests
• Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions

Operational Support:

• Work closely with team members to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency
• Maintain a positive work environment, contributing to the teams overall success

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
• Prior experience in a customer service or dispatch role is a plus but not essential
• Comfortable working with computer systems and automated platforms
• Punctuality and reliability
