The International Financial Services (IFS) Division manages a portfolio of 380 client companies employing over 49,000 people in Ireland. The sector plays a significant role in achieving IDA Ireland strategic targets. IDA has built a very successful International Financial Services business over the last four decades and the IFS Team works with global leaders across the sector, including Stripe, Mastercard, JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America, State Street, Deutsche Bank, Amundi and Liberty Insurance, to name but a few.Working as a member of the global team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IFS companies and supporting the transformation of existing operations into high value and sustainable employment activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning new business from leading companies in the sector globally and will have responsibility for working within a Team of Irish based members and partnering with the wider IDA Ireland Team overseas to win new investments.This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the further development of the sector and especially in the context of the published Government strategy for the industry: Ireland for Finance Strategy and the new IDA Strategy: Adapt Intelligently – IDA’s 2025-29 Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation.The IFS Team has a strong pipeline and momentum built for 2025. The team focus is on securing investments and delivering against New Name, Expansion, RDI, Training and Sustainability targets, with a continued emphasis on regional locations. The role also includes delivering against the Client Development Programme in 2025 and beyond.Key Tasks
  • The management of a portfolio of both target and existing clients to identify and win New Names, Expansion, and Transformation investments across RD&I, Sustainability and Training that address the client development and transformation needs and deliver the Department targets.
  • The evaluation, preparation and presentation of investment proposals to the IDA Ireland Board and internal Committees for all investment categories.
  • The preparation and presentation of Frameworks and Updates to the Client Development Committee.
  • Actively managing the pipeline on the CRM system, by maintaining and updating information on opportunities with existing companies, target companies and department contacts.
  • The setup and management of site visits from target and existing companies and senior visiting executives; and providing timely, follow-up information following the visits. Working effectively with the IDA regional team in the achievement of the Division’s regional targets, as laid out in the IDA Strategy.
  • Working with the wider IFS Team to research and develop new sectoral and sub-sectoral strategies (including target lists) that will lead to the growth of the Department’s portfolio.
  • Leading and contributing to the development of new value propositions for individual IFS sub-sectors and contributing to the development of new and refreshed marketing materials and presentations.
  • Supporting executives in Ireland and/or overseas in planning and running of industry networking events and/or attendance/exhibition/representing IDA at conferences.
  • Capturing and sharing relevant marketplace sectoral intelligence with the global team to ensure the continuous strengthening of the sectoral strategy of winning new investment opportunities for Ireland.
  • Collaborating and proactively work on key new initiatives to assist in the continued growth of the IFS Sector in Ireland.

Additional Requirements:
  • Third level qualification, to a minimum Level 8 on the National Qualification Framework is essential.
  • Strong presentation skills including PowerPoint design and development
  • A full driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, independently and on own initiative.
  • Aspects of this role will require travel - both international and domestic - and working outside of normal office hours.
  • Ongoing flexibility and interest in international career progression and development.

Salary Scale€51,511 to €73,985 per annum contributory superannuation.
