Design Engineer - Agri Machinery

KME Agri is recruiting an Design Engineer to join our growing organisation. We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality, low-emission slurry equipment. We specialise in retrofitting existing tankers with new features and offer a comprehensive range of low-emission slurry equipment, including dribble bars and trailing shoes in various widths and configurations to meet all customer requirements.

Our main product offerings include trailing shoes, dribble bars, slurry tankers, macerators, umbilical equipment, parts, and many more.

The role is based at our site in Castleisland, Co. Kerry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management in designing and developing agricultural projects.
• Conduct research and collect data to support project planning and execution.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Develop and execute project plans, including defining scope, managing budgets, and scheduling.
• Estimate project and material costs, including completed and additional work as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Communicate and liaise with customers on project requirements when necessary.
• Support the adoption and implementation of engineering best practices and standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities and deliverables.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in agricultural technologies.
• Attending trade shows and exhibitions as required including the identification of suitable events.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to successfully deliver on the business objectives of KME Agri.

Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency with engineering software and drawing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Fusion)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining keen attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work efficiently.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
