Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

REF: 2025/25 Clinical Midwife Manager II Outpatients Department (OPD)

Permanent Full Time (1 WTE) Contract

The Clinical Midwife Manager II is a member of the Senior Midwifery Management Team in the Outpatients Department. Working within a multidisciplinary team in a major teaching hospital, she/he will have the day-to-day responsibility for the effective use of midwifery, nursing and maternity care assistant staff required to deliver safe, high-quality care and maintain the smooth operation of services within the Rotunda Hospital.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Be registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann) or entitled to be so registered.
• Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years fulltime post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the specialty or related area.
• Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
• Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
• Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
• Hold an appropriate healthcare related Primary Degree/Management qualification.

• Ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrable experience at managing a team and workload
• Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development, training and research
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts.
