Social Media Assistant and Content Creator

Who We Are: Alternative Dublin is predominantly an arts-based events company. We run hundreds of events which range from public to corporate, each year all over Ireland. We aim to create memorable experiences for people & to provide a friendly a welcoming atmosphere for clients & staff alike. What Were Looking For: Were looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Assistant and Content Creator to join the Alternative Dublin team. In this role, youll be responsible for writing our weekly newsletters, promoting events, creating engaging content, creating graphics and overseeing our social media platforms.

This role will be 4-5 days a week in our Temple Bar office, with occasional promo/content filming some weekends.

Previous experience with content creation and social media handling is essential.

Your Day to Day

• Curate and write weekly newsletter.
• Promote our in house events across social media platforms.
• Design graphics for events and promo materials, including websites.
• Oversee and grow our social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, etc
• Film contents at our events
• Edit video reels for social media platforms.
• Create content for our social media accounts (Instagram/ TikTok).

Skills Required

• Proven experience in social media handling or content creation.
• Strong communication, and proficiency in English with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience using social media platforms.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization for social media.
• Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• At least 2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a similar role

Bonus

• Experience writing and editing newsletters, blog posts, or other long-form content is highly desirable
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines
