Mater Private Network have an exciting opportunity for Medical/ Surgical SHOs to join our Mater Private Network Team.

Positions are for a July 2025 start at Mater Private Eccles Street.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow the Hospital admissions process by documenting History and Physical examination the designated Initial Medical Assessment Form.
  • Assess/review and document findings for patients as requested by the attending Consultant and/or Nursing Staff in a timely and legible manner.
  • To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made and inform the consultant or relevant registrar of any issues or problems.
  • Prescribe medications for patients as required as directed by consultant.
  • Participate in ward rounds.
  • Complete the discharge process with an electronic discharge letter.
  • Cover admissions in the Same Day Surgery Unit / Heart Centre Day Unit.

  • Registration with IMC
